Astragon experimented with them to breed sentient Chazarach that, once proven to be mentally stable, they became soldiers and Astragon citizens. Since they had faded to myth, they were thought of as 'specters' from a lost age.Ĭhazarach are a species of reptile that was originally brought to this galaxy via the Yuuzhan Vong as a slave species. Ckasaron himself had to slay Nightsister Silri to access them. Specters were so named because soldiers looking like them have not been seen in thousands of years, resurrected from the Carbonite army hidden on an unidentified planet. Their weapon loads were essentially the same as the previous two types.

They had more training than typical Anti-troops, but their weapons loadout is the same.ī1 battle droids and E4 baron droids were chosen to be the rank-and-file soldiers of Astragon because they could fold up and be fitted on the deployment racks of Multi-Troop Transports and Platoon Attack Craft. They willingly accepted their cybernetic enhancements. Phase Zero Dark Troopers were entirely militia, with no clones in their ranks at all. They almost lost, but then Astragon's growing fleet arrived and beat the Imperial Army out of the system long enough to evacuate the cloning facilities and their inhabitants. They were organized into armies, responsible for much of the frontline fighting.Īnti-Troopers hailed originally from Kamino, where they tried to rebel against the Empire. In Astragon's five-sector case, they were Anti-Troopers (1st), Phase Zero Dark Troopers (2nd), B1 and/or E4 Baron Droids (3rd), Specters (4th), and Chazarach (5th).

Infantry squads consisted of the most common type of infantry. However, only five squad types existed: infantry, assault, sniper, engineer, and annihilator. Just like the other two organized armies-the Grand Army of the Republic and the Imperial Army-the Astragon Army's most basic unit was a squad.
